How I Won The War Dir: Dick Lester 1967 Required viewing for John Lennon fanatics like myself. Not the funniest movie ever made, but definitely entertaining any time Lennon is on screen. This movie is really, really hard to obtain inside the United States, so I’m posting it for the countless Beatle/John Lennon fans in the Western hemisphere who have been dying to see this.

I don’t know if this film has any connections to Monty Python, but the funny thing is, George Harrison was executive producer on Monty Python’s Life of Brian.

Michael Crawford is absolutely brilliant in this movie. MC has a great sense of humour and it would be nice for all the John/Beatle fans to actually say something nice about Michael and actually notice his outstanding performance in this film! I started out as a John Lennon fan and he does well in this film to. But Michael is great and now that I have seen MC in several wonderful 1960s films and have seen his amazing versatility in shows like Phantom and on a concert stage he deserves praise to
